"Signal Rock" is the country's bet for the 91st Academy Awards. The Film Academy of the Philippines (FAP) selected the Chito S. Roo film for nomination under the Best Foreign Language Film category, reports Cinema Bravo. "Signal Rock" features a family, one of whose members goes abroad and marries a foreigner to help her family in Biri, Samar. Her brother Intoy (Christian Bables) climbs rocks to find signal on his cell phone so he can communicate with his sister.
