Two of the Philippines' top universities made it to the list of the world's top universities provided by Times Higher Education (THE). Last year, only the University of the Philippines (UP) was included in THE World University Rankings. This year, De La Salle University (DLSU) also made it to the list. DLSU landed in the 601-800 bracket while UP improved its spot to 501-600 bracket from 601-800 last year. The University of Oxford remained the top university in the list while the University of Cambridge stayed at second place.
