MANILA, Philippines -- A Chinese national, along with four other men, was arrested for allegedly trying to abduct a compatriot and bribe law enforcers in Makati City early Wednesday morning. Makati City police identified the suspects as Chinese national Zhaochun Chen, 21; Mark Anthony Pareo, 39; John Muega, 24; Reyan Villanueva, 35; and Jose Marie Lavilla, 31. Members of the Makati City police were on early morning patrol when they saw Ma Zhi Rui, 36, being dragged into a car by the suspects at the corner of Kalayaan Avenue and Burgos Street in Barangay Poblacion.
