MANILA, Philippines --- The low pressure area (LPA) off Eastern Samar entered the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) Monday morning, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said. In its 4 a.m. weather update, Pagasa weather specialist Ezra Bulquerin said the LPA was last spotted 770 kilometers east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar. He added that the LPA may develop into a tropical depression in the next 24 to 36 hours and will be given the local name "Jenny."
