SAN PEDRO CITY--A suspected drug pusher was killed after resisting arrest and tried to shoot at the policemen during a buy-bust operation in Cavite City early Saturday. A report from the Cavite police said members of the city Drug Enforcement Team conducted the buy-bust around 1:30 a.m. in Barangay (village) 48A. When the police were about to conduct the arrest,the suspect Jonel Villanueva drew and fired a .38 caliber gun. The suspect missed but this forced the policemen to return fire. Villanueva died while being taken to the Bautista Hospital in the city. The police recovered a sachet of suspected "shabu" (crystal meth) at the scene. ...
