MASBATE CITY --- A few hours before the voting period on election day, three men were arrested for possession of firearms in Batuan town in Masbate province Monday morning, police said. Junie Mitra, 42, Jimmy Escote, 61, and Tito Abao, 49, were arrested for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the "Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act" in relation to Commission on Elections gun ban.
