MANILA, Philippines --- The Department of Education (DedEd) is expecting 27 million students this coming school year both in the elementary and high school level, DepEd Undersecretary Tonisito Umali said Friday. However, Umali said the number could still grow as there is usually an increase in the number of students every year. "If we base the number of students we had in the school year 2018-2019, there will be around 27 million students this school year in public elementary and high schools.
