MANILA, Philippines --- In time for the annual International AIDS Candlelight Memorial, the Department of Health (DOH) urged Filipinos who tested positive for HIV to avail free treatment, care, and support services. In a statement issued on Friday, the DOH also encouraged the public to get tested. "One of the highlights of the amended Philippine HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) and AIDS Policy Act is the lowering of the age of a person to avail of free HIV testing without parents' consent from 18 to 15 years old," Health Secretary Francisco Duque III said.
