MANILA, Philippines --- A 47-year-old motorcycle rider died in a road accident along R-10 Road in Navotas City on Friday morning. According to Navotas City Police Station, the accident happened around 7:21 a.m. in front of the SLORD Development Corporation. Initial investigation showed that a Hino Truck (model ABB6196) driven by Anthony Bernardo sideswiped the PMR motorcycle (N04-89-11454) driven by the victim, Fred Pineda, causing the latter to fall on the pavement. Both vehicles were traveling along the Northbound lane of R-10 in Barangay NBBS in Navotas. Pineda sustained injuries on his head and body and died on the spot.
