MANILA, Philippines -- The stretch of U.N. Avenue from San Marcelino Street to Taft Avenue in Ermita, Manila is scheduled to be closed on Thursday to give way for the arrival honors of top Philippine National Police (PNP) officials, the Manila Police District (MPD) said. In an advisory, MPD's Traffic Enforcement Unit said the stretch of U.N. Avenue will be closed to traffic at 1:30 p.m. onwards. MPD said the "arrival honors" will be held for Maj. Gen.
