MANILA, Philippines -- The Commission on Elections (Comelec), sitting as the National Board of Canvassing (NBOC), resumed on Sunday afternoon its session to canvass votes in the recently concluded midterm polls. As of Saturday night, the NBOC had already canvassed a total of 158 certificates of canvass (COCs) out of the total 167 COCs from clustered precincts nationwide. This, according to the poll body, is equivalent to 94.61 percent. The NBOC suspended its Saturday session pending the transmission of local precincts and from overseas absentee voting.
