MANILA, Philippines --- A retired police officer was shot dead by unidentified men riding a motorcycle in Navotas on Tuesday night. Members of Navotas City police station identified the victim as Benjamin Ramos, 54. He was formerly assigned at the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG), police said. Based on a police report, Ramos was aboard his motorcycle traveling along M. Naval Street corner Rajah Baguinda Street in Barangay Daanghari when the suspects suddenly appeared and shot him multiple times.
