SAN PEDRO CITY--A man tagged as a "high value target" of the police for illegal drugs was killed in a buy-bust operation here, police said Sunday. In a text message, Laguna police director Col. Eleazar Matta said they conducted the buy-bust around 10:30 p.m. Saturday in suspect Renan Mojado's residence in Barangay (village) San Agustin, in the adjacent town of Alaminos. Mojado, who was listed a police target in San Pablo City, drew and fired his gun, forcing police officers to return fire, Matta said. Mojado was killed on the spot.
