Despite underdog tag vs Ateneo, UP fight like hell for that UAAP title
The disparity between Ateneo and University of the Philippines in the UAAP basketball landscape is as clear as the summer's sky and no amount of arguments can change that. Heavily caffeinated: Indonesians sip 4,000 cups of Java
BATUSANGKAR,Indonesia --- Thousands of Indonesians lined up to get their mug of Java in the hopes of keeping alive a coffee tradition that dates back to Dutch colonial times. "Everyone get your cup ready!" yelled an announcer to some 4,000 locals and visitors who sipped Kawa Daun coffee at a festival this week in Batusangkar on Sumatra island. The area is home to a peculiar take on the drink that extracts flavor from the plant's leaves rather than its beans. The town of Newton Aycliffe in the United Kingdom and its Great Aycliffe Town Council voted to reserve the role of Santa Clause or "Father Christmas" exclusively for males. The decision was put to a vote and concluded during a special meeting held on the evening of Nov. 28. Councillor Bob Fleming noted there was a short period when children are considered innocent. He was concerned that having a female play Santa would ruin the wonder and magic for kids. The discussion on who can play as Santa Claus for an annual parade started when two women volunteered to play as Santa while their husbands drove the flatbed truck they would ride on, as reported by Metro. Jumping spiders found to produce milk for young
Milk production has been erroneously attributed to mammals only. A recent study turned this idea on its head when scientists discovered jumping spiders that produce milk and care for its young. Spiders belong to the invertebrate side of the animal kingdom, which means they don't have skeletons. Invertebrates are also thought to be simple creatures that seldom care for their young. Researchers from the Chinese Academy of Sciences found that Toxeus magnus or "jumping spiders" bred in nests and provided long-lasting care for spiderlings. The care package included milk from the mother, according to the study published in the journal Science, as reported by Gizmodo. The study indica...

PUTRAJAYA, Malaysia---Relatives of those on board Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 Friday handed over new-found debris believed to be from the ill-fated plane, hoping it could help shed light on the jet's mysterious disappearance four years ago. G20 opens under assault from Trump on collective action
BUENOS AIRES, Argentina--- G20 powers open two days of summit talks in crisis-hit Argentina on Friday after a stormy buildup dominated by US President Donald Trump's consensus-bucking crusade to realign world trade. Shortly before the summit kicks off, Trump's "America First" charge will bear fruit with the signing in Buenos Aires of a successor to the North American free trade pact NAFTA. The revamped accord, called the US-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), looks a lot like the one it replaces. But enough has been tweaked for Trump to declare victory on behalf of the US workers he claims were cheated by NAFTA. Yet, underlining that the new deal may not be quite the game-chang...
