The Philippines absorbed a tough 92-88 loss to Kazakhstan in the second round of the group stage of the Fiba World Cup Asian Qualifiers Friday at Mall of Asia Arena. Gilas Pilipinas dropped to a third-place tie with Japan, which took an 85-47 win over last-placed Qatar, in Group F after falling to a 5-4 record. The top three teams of Groups E and F and the better of the two fourth placers will advance to the Fiba Basketball World Cup in 2019 in China. The Philippines is now in a must-win situation to break its tie with Japan to ensure a spot in the World Cup....
