A "Blade Runner" anime has been greenlit and will be produced by Adult Swim and Crunchyroll. The new anime was inspired by director Denis Villeneuve's "Blade Runner 2049" and will be titled "Blade Runner-Black Lotus." Shinichiro Watanabe, who directed the classic sci-fi anime "Cowboy Bebop" and the animated short "Blade Runner Black Out 2022," is also on board as a creative producer, reports Variety. Animation studio Sola Digital Arts will also be part of the production process.
