MANILA, Philippines --- A magnitude 3.5 earthquake rocked San Julian, Eastern Samar on Saturday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said. The quake's epicenter was recorded in the waters off San Julian town, about 37 kilometers southeast of Sarangani, and is of tectonic origin. Phivolcs said that the temblor struck at 12:38 p.m., and has a depth of 14 kilometers.
