MANILA, Philippines - Over 7,000 police officers will be deployed in Metro Manila to secure schools and students when school year 2019-2020 opens on Monday, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) said on Tuesday. In a statement, NCRPO chief Maj. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar said the law enforcers will be posted in the vicinity of schools and crime-prone areas.
