Trash to be shipped back by end of June, says Canada

MANILA, Philippines --- The tons of garbage illegally dumped in the Philippines several years ago will be completely shipped back to Canada by the end of June, the Canadian government said Thursday.   In a statement, Canada's Minister of Environment and Climate Change Catherine McKenna said that the Canadian government has awarded a contract to Bollor Logistics Canada to safely bring the waste back to that country "as soon as possible."   "The company will begin preparation for shipping in the coming days. The removal will be complete by the end of June, as the waste must be safely treated to meet Canadian safety and health requirements," the Canadian government...
