Supreme Court Associate Justice Diosdado Peralta is now acting senior associate justice after the high court's most senior member and acting chief, Antonio Carpio, took a leave of absence. Through a special order by Carpio issued on Tuesday, Peralta was designated "as acting Senior Associate Justice" starting October 31 until November 4.
