2 shabu witnesses surrender; now under Senate detention

Two resource persons earlier cited for contempt have surrendered to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and are now under the custody of the Senate.   Senate Sergeant At Arms Jose Balajadia confirmed that Marina Signapan and Emily Luquingan are now detained at the Senate.   Signapan is the owner of shipment consignee SMYD Trading and Luquingan is the wife of Hsu Chun Chung, a Chinese national being linked to alleged smuggling of P11-billion worth of shabu.   "Hindi sila inaresto, pareho silang sumuko (They were not arrested; they surrendered," Balajadia said in a phone interview on Tuesday.   Accompanied by her lawyer, Signapan voluntari...
