The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced on Monday that portions of North Avenue would be closed to motorists to give way to the ongoing construction of the Metro Rail Transit (MRT) 7. MMDA General Manager Jojo Garcia said the road closure would start at 10 p.m. and would last until 5 a.m., Tuesday (November 7). The closure would affect Agham Road up to the westbound section of Quezon Memorial Circle. "This is to pave the way for the removal of old electrical posts affected by the construction of the MRT-7," Garcia said in a press briefing.
