TACLOBAN CITY--- A man and his two children were buried during a landslide in a remote village in Lope de Vega, Northern Samar on Friday. Killed were Eddie Panao, 36; and his two children, Edmond, 15; and Mea, 14; all residents of Barangay Henanoragan. Lt. Col.Apollo Herrera, commanding officer of the 43rd Infantry Battalion based in Lope de Vega, said the victims' bodies were recovered on Saturday morning by the villagers. Meanwhile, three persons from Victoria town, also in Northern Samar, were also reported missing, according to Herrera.
