MANILA, Philippines --- Guimbal town Mayor Oscar Garin and his son Iloilo 1st District Rep. Richard Garin surrendered their firearms to the police on Friday, a day after Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Oscar Albayalde ordered the cancellation of their gun permits. Rep. Garin surrendered nine of his 11 firearms, while Mayor Garin surrendered five of his eight firearms, according to a report from the Bicol police. Three of the Garins' firearms were declared lost with corresponding blotter reports to the Guimbal Municipal Police Station.
