MANILA, Philippines -- Only seven fire incidents have been recorded during this holiday season, which is an 82 percent drop from the previous year, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said Tuesday. BFP spokesperson Superintendent Joanne Vallejo said the BFP recorded 34 fire incidents for the same period last year.
