DAVAO CITY - A 6.1 magnitude earthquake jolted the Davao region on Sunday morning. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the quake struck at 126 kilometers southeast off the coast of Jose Abad Santos town in Davao Occidental around 10:02 a.m. The earthquake, which was tectonic in origin, has a depth of 14 kilometers. It was felt as Intensity 3 in Davao City and Kidapawan City and was documented as Instrumental Intensity 4 in the Sarangani towns of Alabel and Kiamba, General Santos City and Tupi in South Cotabato.
