MANILA, Philippines -- Murder charges have been filed against the suspects in the killing of a tabloid columnist and his companion in Arayat, Pampanga on October 20, the government's media task force said Wednesday. Joel Egco, executive director of the Presidential Task Force on Media Security (PTFoMS), said charges of double murder have been filed against the primary suspect Armando Velasco. His two accomplices, Edgardo Cabrera and a "John Doe," were also charged. Communications Secretary Martin Andanar hailed the speedy development of the case.
