Actor Richard Gutierrez cleared of tax evasion charge

  MANILA, Philippines - The Department of Justice (DOJ) has cleared actor Richard Gutierrez of tax evasion, falsification of public documents and perjury charges. Gutierrez and his company RGUTZ Productions have been accused of violating the National Internal Revenue Code (NIRC). According to the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Gutuierrez has a tax liability of more than P39 million. The actor allegedly submitted fake Annual Income Tax Return as well as Quarterly Value Added Tax Return (QVATR).
