MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine National Police (PNP) honored on Monday two police officers who assisted and rescued fellow passengers of a boat that capsized in the Iloilo Strait last month. PNP chief Gen. Oscar Albayalde himself conferred the PNP Heroism Medal (Medalya ng Kadakilaan) on Chief Master Sergeant Jonathan Magan of the San Lorenzo, Guimaras police and Staff Sergeant Rodito Erpelua of the Regional Headquarters Support Unit of the Police Regional Office 6 (Western Visayas).
