MANILA, Philippines -- Two passengers died while 14 others were injured after a truck crashed into a jeepney along Mindanao Avenue in Quezon City on early Wednesday morning. Initial investigation showed that the jeepney was traversing Mindanao Avenue and was about to make a U-turn at a gasoline station in Barangay Tandang Sora when a truck emerged from Congressional Avenue and hit the jeepney's right side portion at around 12:30 a.m. Sixteen passengers of the jeepney driven by 50-year-old Lewelyn Jaud were seriously injured and brought to the East Avenue Medical Center, said a report of the Quezon City Police District Traffic Enforcement Unit.
