TACLOBAN CITY ---- Classes in several areas in Eastern Visayas were suspended due to heavy rains and strong winds spawned by Tropical Depression "Marilyn." In Biliran province, classes had been canceled in the towns of Kawayan, Biliran, Caibiran, Almeria, Culaba, Cabucgayan, and Naval, the provincial capital, since Wednesday. Only the island town of Maripipi had yet to suspend classes. In Leyte province, among the towns that suspended classes were Barugo, Alangalang, Capoocan, and Carigara.
