LEGAZPI CITY -- Close to 3,000 field researchers of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) would be deployed in six provinces in Bicol to identify and assess poor households in the region, an agency official said on Saturday. Jesseshan Marbella-Aycocho, DSWD Bicol spokesperson, said 2,600 field staff are currently undergoing training before field work starts in October. For this third poor household assessment, the agency targets 1.1 million subjects in Bicol out of the 16.1 million households nationwide.
