LUCENA CITY ---- A motorcycle rider, who was not wearing a helmet, was killed in a four-vehicle collision along the Maharlika Highway in Candelaria town in Quezon on Monday night, police said. The collision also left five motorists injured. A report from the Candelaria police, said Arnel Nauz Seguinza, 23, with back-rider Johnrick Jetro Agustin, 21, lost control of his 125-cc motorcycle when he overtook a Ford Ranger pick-up and a Hyundai Starex van in one section of the highway in Barangay Mangilag Sur at 9:20 p.m. This led to the motorcycle colliding head-on with an oncoming Nissan Urvan van driven by Efren Baas.
