DIFFUN, Quirino ---- Classes in five towns in Quirino province were suspended on Friday due to the heavy rains caused by Tropical Depression "Marilyn." Jesusa Leal, Quirino provincial disaster risk reduction management officer, said the towns of Diffun, Saguday, Cabarroguis and Nagtipunan had suspended classes at all levels. Aglipay town had also suspended classes from elementary to high school for both public and private schools. The class suspensions came after incessant rains caused rivers to swell, flooding low-lying farms and villages.
