TACLOBAN CITY ---- Two persons, including a village official, were killed in a gunfight in Calbayog City, Samar on Thursday afternoon. Reports reaching the Police Regional Office in Eastern Visayas based at the Camp Ruperto Kangleon, Palo in Leyte province, identified the village official as Simeon Tarrayo of Barangay Carmen of Calbayog. The report said Tarrayo, 51, was traversing P-1 of Barangay Dagum on board his motorcycle at 4:56 p.m. when he was trailed by four persons aboard two separate motorcycles.
