TACLOBAN CITY ---- A village watchman was killed while a village councilor and another village watchman were hurt in a shooting incident in Oras town, Eastern Samar province on Tuesday night. Killed was Arnulfo Opon, 56, a tanod of Barangay Sta. Monica, after two armed men shot him and his companions at past 8:30 p.m. Wounded were Noel Balaca and Carlo Nebrida, both 53, village councilor and village watchman of the same barangay. Initial police investigation showed that the three were having a drinking spree at the house of Balaca when the two men clad in hooded black jackets appeared and shot them several times.
