CABANATUAN CITY--A 49-year-old driver was killed while 13 people were arrested in a series of anti-illegal drugs operations in various parts of Nueva Ecija on Friday. Police said Joseph Santos, a resident of Poblacion Sur, Talavera, Nueva Ecija, died in a shootout with policemen during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sampaloc of the said municipality at 4:35 a.m. Investigators recovered a .38-caliber revolver, three sachets of suspected "shabu" (crystal meth) and the P500 marked money from the suspect's body.
