TACLOBAN CITY -- Tribu Maglalara of Basey ruled the 11th edition of the annual Sangyaw Festival Parade of Lights here Saturday night. The inclement weekend weather did not stop thousands of residents and visitors from filling the streets to witness the city government - sponsored spectacle which saw the participation of 11 schools and barangays from Leyte and Samar. The Sangyaw Festival Parade of Lights is a cultural event held every June 29 to pay homage to the city's patron, Senior Santo Nio de Tacloban. The city's annual fiesta is celebrated every June 30.
