MANILA, Philippines - A magnitude 4.8 earthquake shook Davao Occidental on Friday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said. The earthquake was recorded at 6:41 a.m. Its epicenter was traced 78 kilometers southeast of the municipality of Sarangani. The tremor was of tectonic origin, and had a 175-kilometer depth of focus.
