TACLOBAN CITY- The Eastern Visayas regional office of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has announced that beneficiaries of its unconditional cash transfer (UCT) will soon receive their cash benefits under the program. Yvonne Abonales, DSWD acting regional director, said the agency is just awaiting word on the release of the funds from the Land Bank of the Philippines (Land Bank). Land Bank, which receives the money deposited by DSWD, releases the same to local government units which handle the payout to UCT beneficiaries.
