MANILA, Philippines --- The Luzon grid will be under yellow and red alerts on certain periods this Thursday, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) said. In a Facebook post, the NGCP announced that Luzon will be placed under yellow alert from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and again on 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. A "yellow alert" is raised when "a grid's reserve power---the difference between supply and demand---is below the required level," according to the NGCP.
