MANILA, Philippines --- The Luzon grid will be under yellow and red alerts for 14 hours on Friday, June 7, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) said. In a Twitter post, the NGCP said the country's biggest power grid would be under yellow alert from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and again on 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., a total of eight hours. A "yellow alert" is raised when "a grid's reserve power --- the difference between supply and demand --- is below the required level," according to the NGCP.
