MANILA, Philippines --- At least 11 people died as Typhoon Tisoy (international name: Kammuri) ripped through Luzon, collected government reports said Wednesday. Five people were recorded dead in Bicol region, according to a police regional report. In Mimaropa region, five people perished at the height of the typhoon. Three were pinned by fallen trees while two others suffered a heart attack. A man died in Ormoc City after a tree fell over him.
