MANILA, Philippines --- The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has suspended sea travel in several areas as Typhoon Tisoy (Kammuri) threatens to batter Luzon with its heavy rains and strong winds. PCG spokesperson Capt. Arman Balilo on Monday said they have placed all their units on heightened alert due to the typhoon. All maritime activities were suspended in areas with public storm warning signals. "The operations of 1,030 rolling cargoes, 51 motorbancas, and 45 vessels are temporarily suspended, while 125 vessels and 19 motorbancas are taking shelter due to weather condition," he said in a statement. ...
