MANILA, Philippines --- Work at the House Representatives was suspended on Tuesday in anticipation of Typhoon Tisoy's heavy rains. The chamber's Office of the Secretary-General said the session, other activities, and hearings scheduled on Tuesday were likewise canceled. Latest forecast from the state weather bureau showed that Tisoy slightly weakened early Tuesday morning but remained strong and destructive.
