CEBU CITY --- At least 11 persons were confirmed dead after a truck fell into a cliff in Boljoon town, south of Cebu, Friday, July 19. The local police said the accident happened in Barangay Upper Becerril past 7 a.m. this morning. Ruben Niere, the town's information officer, said on board the mini dump truck were elementary school pupils who were supposed to attend the opening ceremonies of a sports activity in Barangay Poblacion. The truck was approaching a downhill portion of the road when it suddenly lost its brakes.
