MANILA, Philippines --- The Commission on Human Rights (CHR) called on the Philippine government Friday to cooperate with the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in its conduct of a "comprehensive" review of the human rights situation in the country to show that "it has nothing to hide." On Thursday night, the 47-member UNHRC adopted an Iceland-led resolution which also asked the Philippine government to cooperate with UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet, who would prepare a "comprehensive written report" on the Philippines.
