MANILA, Philippines - Angat Dam's water elevation level dropped below the 160 - meter critical mark as of Thursday morning the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said. Pagasa data showed that as of 6:00 a.m. Thursday, the water level is at 159.93 meters, 0.37 meters lower than the measured level on Wednesday. When the dam breached the 160 meter critical mark last June, the National Water Resources Board (NWRB) warned of looming water supply rotations to compensate for the low water levels.
